recycling program, which earned them the honor of being nominated for B.C.'s
environmental award (a first ever in the fast food industry at that time!)
Authentic about making award winning pizza products that nourish the body
and spirit, Flying Wedge fast became known as the local humanitarians who
rebelled against a tasteless, mega brand, fast food culture.

The 21st century represents a new breed of companies that are just as
focused and committed to their individual personnel, core customers and
social development as they are to their product or service. Flying Wedge is
one of these companies, dedicating energy towards artistic/social development
both internally and externally within their communities.

Therefore, taste, atmosphere and service are not the only qualities that

Showing support through continuous fundraising and sponsorship, towards
their corporate charities, is a major part of the Flying Wedge spirit. To date,
over $100,000.00+ in product and cash donations have been raised for the
Empty Stocking Fund and Dreams Take Flight, thanks to the volunteer work
of staff, suppliers and customers.

Since 1993 Flying Wedge's VP of Operations has been volunteering as a Group
Leader each year with Dreams Take Flight! Each October over 130 special needs
BC children board an Air Canada Boeing 767 for a fun filled day. The mission of
Dreams Take Flight is to make a difference in a life of a child who has been
affected by a serious medical or social circumstance. A child that has never been
to Disneyland gets the chance to have his and her dream come true!
